Gooseberry Spritz

At the beginning of the 20th century, spritz-style drinks became increasingly popular in restaurant menus.They began to be enhanced with flavouring liqueurs, and sparkling Prosecco gradually replaced still white wine as the base.

At the same time, up until Finland’s independence, gooseberries were extremely popular and widely used both at home and on the menus of high-end restaurants.

Today, Finnish gooseberries are world-renowed for their beautifully balanced sweet-tart flavour and vibrant colour. In addition, this true “superfood” of home gardens provides nearly all essential vitamins.
