The Gellhorn

A dedication to a pioneering humanist. Martha Gellhorn was an American author and journalist, regarded as one of the great war correspondents of the 20th century. During the Winter War in 1939–1940, Gellhorn covered it from Hotel Kämp, firmly convinced that Finland would prevail. Today, the Gellhorn celebrates Martha Gellhorn’s adventurous and uncompromising spirit. Her stay at Hotel Kämp showed her to be sharp, fearless, and defiantly optimistic—qualities reflected in our tribute cocktail.
