Lemon & Punsch
A classic’s classic. Lemon & Punsch takes its inspiration from a tradition dating back to the early 1900s: adding lemon to your drink.
It all began with Kämp Bar’s regulars, a group that met at the so-called “Lemon Table”. This circle of well-to-do gentlemen and regulars was formed in the 1910s around wealthy businessman John Grönlund. Grönlund was convinced that lemon was the perfect pairing to a popular drink at the time. Not only did the tartness of the lemon balance the drink's sweetness, giving it a more refreshing profile; according to Grönlund, the vitamin C of lemons was also a considerable health benefit, essentially making the entire drink healthier. Naturally, this meant one could drink more of it.
Grönlund was so devoted to the method that he kept a personal lemon squeezer at the table. When preparing what would become his signature drink, he would squeeze fresh lemon juice directly into the bottle, shake it, then pour it into a cocktail glass. From his signature, the Lemon Table was born—revived today as our signature Lemon & Punsch.
